Hours and Location

Effective Monday, March 30, walk-in patients will no longer be seen at our after hours clinic.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, patients needing after-hours care will be required to call us at 343-884-7780 and leave a message as directed. Please note: We are only checking messages on this phone line during after-hours clinic hours: Monday-Thursday: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) If you leave a message outside of these hours, these messages will not be heard and will be deleted.)

After receiving your message during regular after-hours clinic hours, our nursing staff will call you back for further assessment. Based on the nurses' assessment, you will either be asked to visit the clinic at a scheduled time, or a telephone or video appointment with a physician will be scheduled.

If you are calling outside of regular after-hours clinic hours, please call our usual phone number (613- 533-9303) to be connected with the on-call physician.

Please visit our Coronavirus COVID-19 page here.

Phone/Video Appointments Encouraged

To adhere to the critical need to practise social distancing, we strongly encourage that as many patient appointments as possible occur over the phone or through a video visit. Patients who are returning from outside of Canada must self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms of COVID-19, so appointments with these patients must take place over the phone or via video.

Locations

220 Bagot St, Kingston, ON K7L 3G2 (Family Medicine Centre)

Haynes Hall 115 Clarence St Kingston, ON K7L 0A3 (After Hours Clinic)

Because we have two sites, it is important to note where your appointment will be. (If you’re not sure, just ask any of us and we can confirm the correct location.) Your family doctor is located in one spot so, for the most part, you will be going to the same location for every appointment. If you are meeting with a different provider – for example, the dietitian or smoking cessation counsellor – you might be in a different location than you are used to.

Transportation & Parking

All downtown city bus routes stop at the Brock Street terminal, one intersection away from both our locations: 220 Bagot St. and 115 Clarence St. (Haynes Hall). To schedule your bus trip to our clinic, please use the Kingston Trip Planner and enter 220 Bagot St, Kingston, Ontario or 115 Clarence St, Kingston, Ontario as your end location.

Metered parking is available on Clarence Street, and there are municipal parking lots on Bagot Street (between Brock and Princess) and Brock Street (both west of Bagot across from Hotel Dieu Hospital and east, up from Wellington Street).

Accessible Entrances

Both Queen's Family Health Team locations are fully wheelchair/stroller accessible. At 220 Bagot St., an entrance ramp is located on the west side (at the back) of the building. The 115 Clarence St. location has an accessible slope from the street level, and the elevator, located just inside the entrance, will take you to our clinic on the second floor.
