Do you enjoy working with older adults? Want to learn more about how to approach medically complex seniors and mucky meds lists? Love working in an interdisciplinary, team-based setting?
The Queen's Enhanced Skills PGY3 Care of the Elderly program is pleased to invite you to attend a Virtual Open-House on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 6-7 pm EST.
To RSVP for this event, please register here: Zoom Link for Queen's Care of the Elderly Open House.
Program Director Dr. Kate Trebuss and recent Queen's Care of the Elderly graduate Dr. April Kindrat will host the event. We'll introduce you to some of the highlights of our program and give you a mini-virtual tour of our spectacular hospital.
We will also answer any questions you have about the program and life in Kingston, Ontario, as well as how additional training in geriatrics can bring meaningful, well-compensated work to your future practice.
The Queen's Care of the Elderly program is a fully-accredited 1-year Category 1 Enhanced Skills program based on the shores of Lake Ontario in Providence Care's beautiful, nearly brand-new subacute care hospital. We accept 1-2 residents per year and welcome applicants from across Canada who have a strong academic record, excellent communication skills, and keen interest in the care of older adults. Residents who complete our program are eligible for a Certificate of Added Competence in Care of the Elderly through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
To learn more about our program, including how to apply, you can also check out our program webpage on the Queen's Department of Family Medicine or watch a short video about our program produced by the Postgrad Office at Queen's. You can also contact Program Director Dr. Kate Trebuss at kat4@queensu.ca or Enhanced Skills Program Coordinator Dana Rae at dana.rae@queensu.ca.
We look forward to meeting you on May 2!
