An electronic assessment system (Elentra) is used to support regular feedback and assessment during the program. Carefully selected assessment tools including Field Notes are used regularly to inform mid-rotation feedback and end-of-rotation ITERs.
COE residents meet with a family physician Academic Advisor at least quarterly during the course of their program to integrate feedback and assessment from all rotations and review their progress in terms of both competency and confidence objectives. The Academic Advisor reports on resident progress to the Program Director and Residency Program Committee on a quarterly basis so that any concerns or areas for further development can be identified and addressed promptly.
