Dr. Susan Phillips, Director of Research for the department and the Centre for Studies in Primary Care, has received a College of Family Physicians of Canada Lifetime Achievement in Family Medicine Research Award.
This award honours trailblazers and leaders who have made a significant contribution to family medicine research during their active careers. It publicly recognizes their work and the discipline of family medicine.
A program designed to support aging well at home, co-led by Dr. Catherine Donnelly, occupational therapist at Queen’s Family Health Team’s Belleville site, has received more than $1M in provincial funding to expand.
Queen’s Family Medicine is pleased to announce Dr. Sarah Funnell as Indigenous Health Director.
Working with Indigenous health leads at each of the program’s four sites, Dr. Funnell will advance the department’s program-wide core curriculum in Indigenous health. She will also provide consultation regarding recruitment, admission, and support of Indigenous residents.

Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Pan-Canadian Research Network on Lyme Disease will bring together scientists, clinicians, and patients to advance the science of Lyme disease prevention and control, diagnosis, and treatment.
