Staff Physician, Supervising and teaching Family Medicine residents; clinical coverage and patient care.
Dr Jenn Tranmer joined Queen’s Family Health Team in the Fall of 2022 and transitioned into the role of Clinic Lead.
Education:
Dr Tranmer holds a BSc in Physiology from McGill University and an MSc in Health Policy and Economics from the University of Toronto. She completed her medical school at Queen’s University after which she completed her residency in Family Medicine through the University of British Columbia. She now holds a Fellowship in Family Practice through the CFPC.
About:
Though born and raised in Kingston, up until 2022, Dr Tranmer practiced for fifteen years in Victoria, BC as a longitudinal community family physician with a special interest in maternity care. In 2015, she and a colleague developed and opened a large collaborative family medicine clinic that focused on full-service family medicine, maternity, and pediatric care. This clinic was a first of its kind in Victoria and developed a reputation of excellence, innovation, and advocacy over its course. Dr Tranmer also held numerous other leadership roles while in Victoria including board member of the South Island Division of Family Medicine, co-Division Head for Family Practice Obstetrics, Doctors of BC Representative Assembly member and President of BC Family Doctors (formerly SGP).
