Application Information

2020-2021 PGY3 Application Timeline (except for Emergency Medicine):

  • Online Application Opens: Monday, August 26, 2019
  • Online Application Deadline: Friday, October 4, 2019
  • Interview Period: October 5 to December 5, 2019
  • Offers will be emailed on Friday, December 6, 2019
  • Deadline for Acceptance: Thursday, December 12, 2019
  • CCFP-EM CaRMS Match Day: Wednesday, December 11, 2019

Application to Queen's programs follows the timelines agreed upon each year by the Ontario Enhanced Skills Program Directors. For the Emergency Medicine Program, applicants must refer to the CaRMS website for specific instructions. 

For all other programs, applicants must complete the PGY3 Enhanced Skills Programs Online Application Form.

Anesthesia, Care of the Elderly, Global Health, Indigenous Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Palliative Care and Women’s Health Programs

Applicant's are required to upload the following documents to the online application: 

  1. Letter of intent (one to two pages in length) that addresses objectives and motivations for pursuing additional training;
  2. Current curriculum vitae;
  3. Three (3) letters of reference, one of which must be from the applicant's Program or Site Director. Reference letters must be mailed/emailed/faxed directly to the Department of Family Medicine.

Rural Skills Program

 Applicants are required to upload the following documents to the online application:

  1. Letter of Intent (one to two pages in length) that addresses objectives and motivations for pursuing additional training;
  2. Current curriculum vitae;
  3. Two (2) letters of reference and one (1) Rural Skills Program Director Referee Assessment Form completed by your Program/Site Director. Reference letters and the referee assessment form must be mailed/emailed/faxed directly to the Department of Family Medicine.
