Site Director/Lead:  Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences
Roles: Director of the Centre for Studies in Primary Care (CSPC), Chair of the Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network, past Vice Chair of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care, Expert Advisory Member for the Lifetime Prevention Schedule, BC Ministry of Health, interim Scientific Director (2013) and Board Member of the Canadian Frailty Network, Reviewer Canadian Institute for Military and Veterans Health Research (CIMVHR). Dr. Birtwhistle was also very involved in undergraduate medical education and was Associate Dean of Undergraduate Medicine at Queen’s from 1996-2004.
Education: BSc, MD Mc Master University, MSc Epidemiology and Biostatistics Mc Master University, Certificant and Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
