Peterborough Lift Locks
Located on the Trent-Severn Waterway, the Peterborough Lift Locks are the largest hydraulic lift locks in the world.  Constructed in 1904, the locks lift boats up and down more than 65 feet on the Trent Canal.  During the winter, the Trent Canal becomes a popular destination for skating.

Canadian Canoe Museum
Peterborough is home to the Canadian Canoe Museum, featuring the world's largest collection of canoes, kayaks, and paddled watercraft.

Lang Pioneer Village
You can journey back to the 19th century at Lang Pioneer Village, an outdoor museum that features a collection of over 25 restored and recreated buildings.  Learn what life was like for settlers in a small 1800s village.

Farmers Markets
Operating each Wednesday from May to October, the Peterborough Downtown Farmers Market brings together local farmers, artisans, and food vendors.  The town of Lakefield, located just north of Peterborough, also hosts a Farmer's Market on Thursdays.
